Will Jones

Will came to Virginia Tech in May 2022 as a senior IT project manager, focusing on IT security and identity management. He has over 30 years of project management experience in education, banking, construction, nuclear power, insurance, telecommunications, and roofing.

Will holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in electrical engineering and another in mechanical engineering – both from South Carolina State University. Will also has his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

In addition to spending time with his family, Will is an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) head basketball coach and youth mentor. He also enjoys riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, camping, traveling, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia 76ers.
