Dr. Mae Hey presents This is Home: a Facilitated Discussion on Land-Centered Learning February 24, 2021 , articleFollowing a short film about the program, Dr. Hey will facilitate a discussion about a land-centered learning program she has developed at Virginia Tech that helps those living on this occupied land grow in knowledge, wellness, empowerment, community, and sustainability, especially during this past year of isolation and civil unrest. It is the life-giving energy of Shkakimikwe, Mother Earth, that allows for this teaching, learning, and healing.
